Themes

Is there a theme that allows you to place a blog on the front static page of your website and then automatically send that blog to a separate blog page when you update the front page with a new blog. At this stage when I add a blog it goes to the top of previous blogs so that when you scroll down you see the other blogs on your front page. I only want the one blog on the front page but want to allow people to view old blogs on a separate page (if that makes sense).
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Jessica,
Are you able to tell me which theme you’re using on your site?
Some themes, for example; Twenty Sixteen (and on many others), you can set your static front page as a ‘page’ (instead of ‘posts’) then go into ‘Sidebar’ (if your theme has it) and add a widget called ‘Recent Posts’.
You can customise this to show how many recent posts you want to display on your homepage and/or display the posts’ date as well. But please note, this depends on the theme you’re using.
Best of luck!

Hi Adeline
Sorry about the delay. I want to set up a static home page that only shows the most recent post. Then when I want to add a new post I want the post I just replaced only to be seen in ‘recent posts’ page. How do I do that?
