Themes

I love my former blog theme, which now seems be discontinued. Now I seem to have to choose one that looks more like a website. I just want a simple theme that I can use the blocks editing to put paragraphs, images, video, slideshow or photo collages in. Help!

Hi there,
You can try Seedlet and Twenty Twenty.
Also, the default themes in the Theme Showcase are designed to work best with the Block Editor. They are designed to simplify the process of setting up your home page and site.
It is always recommended to prepare a list of your must-have features so you know right away if a theme is hitting the mark. You can use the filters to narrow down the themes with the features and layouts you want for your website.
Before the installation of the theme, try to know the theme as much as possible. You can go to the overview page of a theme to learn more about the features of the theme. You can use the Live demo option, it is specially designed to showcase all of the features of a particular theme.
You can also click on Try & Customize to open the theme in the Customizer with your site’s content loaded. The Customizer will show you a live preview of the theme with your content. It’s a great way to test drive a theme if you already have content on your site.
You can scroll up and down and click around on your site to get an idea of how the new theme will work with your content, and if you find the theme to be perfect for your website you may go to activate it.
I sincerely appreciate your understanding in this matter. Please feel welcome to reach out to me with any questions you may have and I would be more than happy to help. 🙂
