Themes

    Hey,
Please suggest some themes that do not change the layout when opened on phone.

  • Hi @theblankdiaries, most modern themes will need to change layout somewhat, otherwise your pictures and text would either run off the sides or be so tiny it would be impossible to read. At the very least, the width of your paragraphs will need to change to fit a small screen — or be very narrow on large screens.

If you’d like though, you can use a very simple layout so the changes are minimal! Something with your logo at the top, then just a column of text below would work. Note the menus will almost always change a bit on mobile, too.

If you’re running into an issue between mobile and desktop, can you send a link to an affected page or post? We’d be happy to make a recommendation.

    Hey there,

Thanks for the help. Is there a way through which I can make sure that the Subscription Box on my sidebar does not go to the end of the page on the mobile layout?

  • @theblankdiaries sure!

Edit the page, then click on the black box that has your subscribe form. You should see this:

Tap the up arrow a few times to move that section up the page to where you want it. Then save and you’ll be set!

You can also add a form to a different page or post, by typing this on its own line in the editor:

    /sub

That will bring up an option for a subscription form. You can style it as you like.

Does that help? If not, send more details and we’ll go from there.

I have already have my subscription form on the top of the page but it is in the right side menu. So, in mobile layout, it goes all the way down and appears after the posts.

  • This is happening because your sidebar widgets are shown at the bottom when the site is viewed on smaller screens (mobile phones, tablets, etc.). This is how your theme is designed and almost all themes that have a sidebar move that to the bottom when in mobile view.

What you can do is create a page and insert the Subscription Form block. Then add that page into your main menu.
