Hello there,
on my website the page to choose or change a Theme seems to be blocked . I can’t see the Details of each Theme nor view a preview . The number of Themes is blocked at 185, either for All Themes, or for Free or Premium Themes ! When I click on Trends, Popular or New, nothing moves, the page is frozen !
This issue has happened gradually over the months . Now the page is completely frozen !
It seems that there are more and more Bugs on wordpress.com, and nobody answers on the French Forum .
What should I do ? Thank you .
This morning I tried 5 times to post this message on the French forum but it doesn’t register… !

There is obviously a problem on the French forum : I can’t post a message !

Hi, just to check – does this also occur when you view the themes at https://wordpress.com/themes/walterpascoli.wordpress.com ? I wasn’t able to reproduce this on a test site of mine and was able to switch between free/Premium theme filters etc; I suspect it may be related to your current theme, which is a retired theme.
With regards to posting on the French forum, did you see any kind of error when you tried to post?

The problem uccur when I view the themes at : https://walterpascoli.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php . And this is the classic editor . With the new editor everything works well ! Thank you for your help !
Yes, you’re right, I think the problem also comes from the fact that I use an old theme ( Under the influence ) . I also have another website (free) on wordpress.com, using a newer theme, and everything works fine with the classic editor to view the themes … So the problem on my main website certainly comes from my old theme .
Regarding the publication on the French forum, I have not seen any error, but the message does not register. I’ll try next time, thanks !

But, regarding to posting on the French forum, my topic is not registered . However I can answer questions asked by other users . But for me it’s impossible to create a topic …
I have 2 websites, one with a Personal plan et another for free . But the problem is the same on both sites .
Does anyone have an idea ? Thank you .

That’s strange! If you were being blocked by our automated spam tools, you would not be able to respond to any threads. I’m also not seeing anything else on that forum that would prevent you from making a new post.
Could you try to create a new topic again and take a screenshot of what you see once you submit the new thread? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to look into this for you.

It appears that you may be using Firefox as your browser. Out of curiosity, do you have this issue if you try to log into your WordPress.com account using a different browser like Google Chrome? In Chrome (or another alternate browser) are you able to post in the forums using that form?
Another thing you can try is to use a different device like a smartphone or tablet to post in the forums. Does it work if you try the browser on a different device instead?
Also to confirm, the issue you have is with the form on this page: https://wordpress.com/fr/forums/?new=1
But there is no issue with the form on this page (since I see you were able to create a new topic with us) yes? https://wordpress.com/forums/?new=1

sorry, I don’t have Google chrome on my computers, and I don’t have a smartphone or a tablet . I have 3 computers on wich are installed : Mozilla, Brave browser, LibreWolf and Gnome Web . I tried to post on the French forum with each of my 3 computers and each of the browsers, and my post is not registered ! But I can answer questions from other users .
Tomorrow I will try from another computer ( Apple ) that uses the Safari browser and wich is not in my home, and I will see if I can post on the french forum …
Yes, the links you indicate above are correct . On https://wordpress.com/fr/forums/?new=1 I cannot post, and on https://wordpress.com/forums/?new=1 I was able to create the current topic . It’s very strange !
Anyway, if I have another problem, I can always post it here . But this rarely happens …

now I am on the Vivaldi browser ( search eng. Bing ), and I also tried with the Opera browser ( search eng. Google ) . The problem is the same : I can’t create a new topic on the french forums . But I can answer questions …

With your permission, we could create a test topic there with your account. Do you get any errors? What happens when you press the Publier button?

I have 2 accounts, one with a Personal plan ( this one above ) and another for free ( and with another email adress, https://art222.art.blog/ ) . The problem is the same with these 2 accounts : I can answer questions from other users, but I can’t post a topic on the French forum . So finally, I suspect my internet box … !?
No, I don’t get any errors when I want to post a topic . When I press the Publish button, the registration starts (1 second) then it stops. And the message (the topic) is not registered . I can press the button again, but the result is the same. The message stays there …

Thanks for confirming. We tried posting on https://wordpress.com/fr/forums/?new=1 from your account and had the same issue. No matter how many times we click on the
Publierbutton the topic does not post.I’m glad that you are at least able to post here in the English forums. Out of curiosity, when did you notice this change? Did you switch to using a new device or make any other recent changes to your WordPress.com account?

Today I tried to post again, not in my house, with an Apple computer using the Safari browser and the Chrome search eng. . I also tried at home, with another computer using also the Chrome search engine . The problem is the same, I can’t post a new topic on the French forums .

My 4 computers are running with linux mint 19, linux mint 20 and Ubuntu Mate . Browsers : Mozilla, Brave browser and LibreWolf . I haven’t bought new computers lately, and I haven’t changed anything on my 4 computers . No recent change on my wordpress account, no change of email address, no change of password, no change of Theme, or other things…
I noticed this problem when I started this topic on January 2, 2023 . Maybe the problem is old, I don’t know because I don’t often have questions to ask on the forum .
My main website is the one above ( with the Under the influence Theme ), and my 2nd website is https://art222.art.blog/ ( with the Orvis Theme ) . The problem to post is the same with these 2 websites .
Well, if this problem is not solved, it’s not really important, because I don’t often have questions to post for my own website…

Thanks for the additional info! I’m going to check with our dev team and see if there were any changes to the forums around that time since they were working on them recently.
In the meantime, I’m hoping you can clarify on this statement:

Do you mean to say that you can’t post on either of your sites in addition to the French forums? You can’t post on either of those sites? Do you mean when you try to create a blog post, or when you try to comment on already published blog posts?

My main website is https://walterpascoli.wordpress.com/ on wich I use the theme Under the influence ( wich is an old theme) . My second website is https://art222.art.blog/ on wich I use the Orvis theme ( wich is a recent theme ).
These 2 websites work normally, I can use them normally, I can create blog posts, etc … But on the French forums I can’t post a topic with neither of these 2 websites. But I can answer (with these 2 websites) the questions of other users …

I ran a second test again now and I noted that when I pressed the “Publier” button, the only thing which happened is that the page reloaded; my test message was still there but nothing was published to the French forum – I don’t believe this is related to your theme however, it’s likely to be something else.
I also observed a few possibly unrelated errors in my browser information which I have recorded. We continue to check with our colleagues!

@walterpascoli thank you for your patience! Our development team just launched a fix that should fix the problem where you’re unable to post to the French forums.
Could you go over there and make a new post (linking to this thread) and see if you still have the same problem?
