Themes and customization on paid plans
-
Hi,
I was looking into upgrading my WordPress site but I was wondering about the features on the Personal plan. It lists Dozens of Free Themes and Basic Design Customization. My free wordpress.com site would already seem to have free themes and basic design customization, so in Personal are more offered? I am wondering if the only actual benefit of the Personal plan is a domain name and WP ad removal.
Thanks for looking into this

Hi there,
No, there are no more additional themes offered in the WordPress.com Personal Plan. There is no additional design customisation offered on the Personal Plan either.
The Premium or Business Plan however offer unlimited access to the premium/paid themes on WordPress.com, but you’re still welcome to use any free themes (of which there are dozens of them) with the Personal Plan.
The main two features offered by the Personal Plan is a custom domain name and ad removal, but also 3 more GB worth of storage (for a total of 6GB).
Let us know if you have any further questions or issues. :)

Hi Brian,
It’s true, Free and Personal plans are the same in terms of available themes and CSS customizing.
Personal plans offer, as you have noticed, domain name and ad removals but also double the storage space and access to live chat support. If these benefits are worth upgrading your account or not really depend on your needs and preferences.

Thanks for getting back to me. Premium may be the way to go.
Is there a way to delete my forum post? I had originally thought I was submitting to a help desk, but if my name is going to be connected to a public forum, I’d prefer to have it deleted if possible.
Thanks again!

Hi there,
WordPress.com only deletes threads if they form a security threat or privacy concern. However, I’m confident there won’t be an issue in redacting your name from your post, so I’ve tagged staff to see if they can do so.
Best wishes. :)

staff-zinnia That’s odd – an issue which not even clearing cache is solving! Perhaps it’s just me, but the name doesn’t appear as redacted for me. Even more oddly so, it shows that it was modified two hours ago, when your response was less than half an hour ago.
Anyone else seeing this?

I still saw it and have attempted to remove it. It’s showing removed here. Do you still see it, @torres126?
