Themes – background images provided for Goran and Sela don't appear

  Hi,
  I changed the theme to Goran and then Sela but the featured image as provided in each of the themes don’t appear when I activate them. Previously when I used Chaotic Soul, Matala and Booklite the background design appeared. What should I do?
  The text and pix I’ve uploaded remain as they are, there’s no problem, its just that I want the background pix of the themes to also appear, but they don’t.

  I was confused about that, too. I chose Goran and then the pages looked NOTHING like the theme.

  shiranirajapakse – the featured images shown in the Goran and Sela demos are just there for example purposes – they’re not illustrations that are part of the theme’s design itself, like the other themes you mentioned.

  I’d suggest you find some images which work well with your business or organization’s identity. We have a good compilation of sources for free images here:

  Thanks Kathrynwp, I though all themes had their set images and since I liked the images for the two mentioned themes I tried to use them. Can we use other wp images for our site? I note the link you provided for free images is for all images etc on the web not specific to wp.
  The sela link doesn’t work.

  There isn’t such a thing as “WordPress-specific” images, but perhaps I’m misunderstanding what you’re looking for. The support page explains how to tell if an image has a license that’ll allow you to use it on your site, and what type of attribution you may need to provide, such as a link back to the photographer’s site.

  The Sela image was taken from a stock photo site that doesn’t require any attribution, so you’re free to use it:

  

  I’m not sure why that link doesn’t work for you, it should open in your browser, where you can right-click and save it to your computer, and then upload it to your site.
