Themes for photos
-
Hi – which of the themes at wordpress give enough space for photos? I use the Rounded theme which allows me to post my photos fairly large in the pages section, but I find most other themes cut my pics off at the sides. I find the column spaces to be too narrow.
I don’t want to make my pics smaller but I’d like to change my theme as I’m getting bored of it! Are there any themes with wide columns that are designed for photos?

The answer can be found here: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/09/25/how-big-can-my-images-be/
Wordpress Classic, Silver is the New Black and Shocking Blue Green have the largest blogging space areas – 800 pixels. -
*chuckle* They all are since you’re going to use thumbnails and not annoy those on dial up, right? ;)
How wide are the pictures that you plan to post? Why don’t use keep using Rounded? Engtech has done a review of the themes that you may want to review. Also you can change the widths with the CSS upgrade.

As a recent dialup user, I understand that not every blog will be optimized for such people. Yes, you’ll limit your audience if you don’t, but it’s a viable option. Same with podcasts.

thanks for the info. I’m not planning to post pics to capacity but just a little larger than thumbnail! there’s no point otherwise is there?

My personal choice on the wp themes is gotta be Day Dream 1.4. It’s a narrow one-column theme that will give “justice” to your photos.
