Themes not working on my blog

  I am new to wordpress, so need your help…
  Each time I select a theme and customise it, it gets saved. But when I open my blog later or post something, the theme is not working. I get a plain white background without the selected fonts. Is this normal? Or is there something that I am doing wrong?

  Hi Ayana,

  You’re currently using the Sketch theme and everything looks how I would expect. Are you trying to add custom fonts or CSS? If so, those are a paid annual upgrade called custom design, and the customizer will let you preview them live but they will not be saved or appear on your public site.

  If you meant something else could you explain in a little more detail what you’re seeing and how it’s different from what you would expect?

  Thanks for your response, Hallluke.
  Now, I get it. So, all the customisation features are not free. Yes, that’s exactly what is happening – when I preview after saving the custom design, it’s working. But later everything vanishes. So, i guess I need to change the theme. :)

  Yep, you can either pick a theme that has the typography you want, or splash out and get the upgrade so you get a few more custom choices.

  You should also check out the theme showcase to search for specific features, like custom colours in this example!
