Themes to display text and images in 2 columns in a post

Hi
I am currently trying ‘Alto Focus’. But I wish to display my images and text within a post in 2 columns. Is there a way to do that with this theme? Or could someone please suggest another theme to do so, preferably a free theme but open to the idea of buying one.

Shoreditch is one theme comes with a special way to create columns within posts and pages.

Scroll down to the heading “Columns (recommended for advanced users only).”
If Shoreditch doesn’t work for you, let me know – I think we have some premium themes with similar ways to make columns.
If you decide to make columns manually (following the guide in the support page timethief mentioned) we’d be able to help you make them responsive with some media queries, so they don’t look squished on small devices like phones. That would take some Custom CSS, which is available with the Premium or Business plans.

@Kathrynwp, I am a beginner. Also, I chose Alto focus because of the front tiled option to showcase my projects. Shoreditch doesn’t seem to offer that.Is there another theme that has the tiled front page and that would let me work with columns within a page/post

Orvis displays images and text in two columns on portfolio projects automatically, without needing to add any code at all.

I just noticed that we need to make some colour adjustments in this palette; some text is white so it’s not visible against the white background. We’ll get that fixed up!

Ah, I see now that it’s not one of the preset palettes. The issue is that you’ve set the background to white manually. Try going into your Customizer‘s Colors & Backgrounds panel, clicking “Palettes” and choosing the first palette, as seen here: https://cloudup.com/cxSsqco4Ce1
That’ll make sure your widgets, site title, and all your other content remain readable against the white background.
