  This appears as a very nice looking Theme-
  i appreciate the graphic design of the modules/sidebar tabs
  looks smooth, clean .
  -yet
  The photo slideshow is inoperative-
  the menu at the top has disappeared-
  it was fun checking out the various features.
  I am done using it, since the menu does not work
  and the photo carousel- or ‘slideshow’ for media
  does not work.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  That theme is not available here at WordPress.com. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we cannot upload any third party themes. We can use only the themes found here > Appearance > themes and showcase here > http://wordpress.com/themes/

  That’s how I know that the site you refer to is not being hosted by WordPress.com and you are posting to the wrong support forum. We cannot help you here. Support for your website software and any advice you need are provided on the WordPress.org support forums and they are here http://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.org, click that link and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the correct support forums for your software.

  I am confused-
  I assumed after viewing some of the threads
  here that this was a good spot to mention
  how the theme I tried to use, had functioned.

  The top of this page here reads ‘
  WordPress. com Forum >> Themes

  The theme I am referencing (themify2)
  was found where you mentioned, in your
  link under the ‘free’ section, Here is the link-

  The next theme that I have tried ,

  http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/sunspot/

  looks nice-
  yet the menus, and sidebars , and media
  are not working completely, Still it is
  fun and challenging to try to figure it all out.

  my account, or blog, is not ‘WordPress. dot’org-
  I don’t have the knowledge or equipment to
  self publish, or manage a blog under the requirements listed for that site.
