A reader of my blog has alerted me that there are ads in it. The funny thing is that from my pc not seen. I would appreciate a quick solution to this problem. If not wordpress that do it, someone has placed their ads on my blog. I wonder how to remove it.. Thank you.

Yes, of course there are ads on your blog. That’s in the Terms of Service you agreed to when you signed up. You don’t see them because nobody who’s signed in to Wp.com sees them.
To get rid of them, you need the No Ads upgrade.

Yes indeed there are. WordPress.com has been running advertising on our free hosted blogs since 2006. Many bloggers do not know this because despite the fact they ticked the box required to get a free blog, they did not read the ToS. Many also do not read features page, or advertising entry in the support documents after registering their username and blog(s). Also note that as the ads do not display to us when we are logged in, and as many use browsers with ad blockers when logged out, they may not realize they are there at all. The only way to get rid of all advertising on our free hosted WordPress.com blogs is to purchase an annually renewable No-Ads upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/

It would just be nice of the ads were not so cheesy and smarmy and didnt look like a white-trash virus. Some of these ads look embarrassing. Or look like an infected website. Cant you get more reputable advertisers??!!

Please can you remove ads from my blog – I haven’t choose them to be there! I understand that the blog is free but I am not in a position to pay no ads upgrade in order to remove something that I don’t like to be displayed wihout my approval – I think it is a matter of respect to the readers and bloggers.

Lets not forget that while it may appear to be free for us it still costs money to host all this stuff.
So quite frankly I’m quite fine with having to put up with a few adds on my wp.com blog.
