Our site is displaying: ‘There has been a critical error on this website’ when attempting to access.

I ran a Jetpack debug and received the following message: ‘Debug
XML-RPC is not responding correctly ( 500 ) It looks like XML-RPC is not responding correctly. Please make sure XML-RPC is turned on for your site and is set up to respond to all content types.’

What do I do from here? I cannot upgrade anything or change anything on the admin site. I keep receiving errors.

    WP.com: Unknown
    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    Hi there,

http://www.msu1981.org is a site hosted with DreamHost and uses open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org), whereas this forum deals with sites hosted through WordPress.com.

They’re very similar, but two separate things.

To get help with your issues, you may want to try posting your question at the WordPress.org support forum:https://wordpress.org/support/forums

    Hope this helps! :)
