There has been a critical error on this website – Please advise

  Hi, I tried logging onto my website today at https://www.vg-reloaded.com and was greeted with a page that said “There has been a critical error on this website.” I can access my WordPress Admin page fine, but I can’t work out what the problem is. I’ve tried disabling all plugins, changing themes but to no avail.

  I have little knowledge of PHP, but I have looked at the lines mentioned in the files and found them to be blank. I can’t find any references to “function “slake_boastfully_midwife”, which sounds bizarre lol.

  I see your site is not hosted on WordPress.com so we don’t have direct insight into what could be going on with the site. I recommend contacting your site’s host for help with this issue.

  Looking at the error messages you shared, it looks like this could be an issue with your theme so I recommend checking if the theme is up to date, and updating it if not. If the issue persists, try switching to a default theme such as Twenty Twenty-Four and check if this clears the error.

  You mentioned that you changed the theme and this didn’t seem to help clear the error. Ordinarily we’d follow this approach to troubleshoot critical errors so a similar approach may be helpful to you: Solve Problems With Plugins.   Thanks for the feedback. I will try WordPress.org

  It’s weird, I’ve tried switching themes and that hasn’t helped at all.
