“There has been a critical error on your website”
-
Please help! I have suddenly been met with a white screen that says ‘there has been a critical error on your website” every time I try to visit the site. I can’t even access the dashboard. I have tried contacting Ionos as they are my domain provider but they were no help, all they said is that malware has somehow been uploaded to my site. They have told me to contact WordPress but I cannot find a contact number anywhere.

Hi @cscordis,
I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing an issue with your site. In addition to what @staartmees mentioned, while we’d love to help resolve this for you, your site is self-hosted using the open-source WordPress software (https://wordpress.org), which means we don’t have access to it here at WordPress.com.If you’re unable to get support from your hosting provider, IONOS, you might consider posting in the WordPress.org support forums. You can search for similar issues there or start a new topic for help from the community.
That said, if you’re looking for a hosting platform that includes dedicated support, you might want to explore our offerings at WordPress.com. We provide a smooth, no-cost migration process to help simplify your setup and ongoing site management.
Let me know if you have any other questions — happy to help however I can.
