There is a constant problem updating my home page
-
For weeks already, whenever I update the content on my home page, I get the page “Something has gone wrong with our servers, it’s probably Matts fault”. This never happens when updating content on my other pages. Sometimes the updated content WILL show up on my home page when I refresh (even after the problem message has occurred), other times it won’t show up. What could be the problem? In other words, whenever I update the home page, I always get the “Matts fault” page. This is the page by the way: http://elisabethtonnard.com/

Can you please try clearing out your cache? Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Firefox or Google Chrome?
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you. I have tried clearing out the cache before submitting the question, but it makes no difference. I’m only using IE, but have been using it for WordPress since 2008 without this problem, could it really be the browser’s fault? And why would it be only on the home page?

Hm, I don’t see anything particularly wrong, but that page doesn’t have a title.
Just to test, does it work if you add a title?
-
Thanks. I just added a title. Even doing that caused the problem to occur. After that I made another change and hit update, and it occurred again. It does update though, though not fast, and always with that page about ‘Matt’.

Are you able to post a second page with the same content? Just copy and paste from/to the HTML editor tab on each page.
-
Yes, the second page/post posed no problems (kept this page private).
The one I’m having trouble with is the original “hello world” one. -
Ok, in this case, let’s just create it as a new post (or make that private one public) and delete the broken one via the Posts section of your blog’s Dashboard.
