there is an error when people try to contact me through my email

  gravatar – contact details – error says “could not perform operation because default mail client is not properly installed”…..
  people need to be able to contact me… my contact email is (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  I have changed my profile to reflect (email visible only to moderators and staff) for the public email.
  Can you please fix this or advise further.

  That’s a problem on their computer. It means they haven’t assigned a mail application, so when they click your email link, their computer doesn’t know what do with it.

  There’s really nothing that you can do for that, they just need to assign a mail application.

  Alternatively, you could make it easier on them by using a simple contact form: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
