There's a white circle with little green dots in the middle of my header???

    I just started a blog called BLESSING BLOCKERS.wordpress.com and right in the middle of the header of the page is a small white circle about the size of a quarter with green dots…It appears it’s maybe for the purpose of uploading a photo or a logo or something, but when I try, nothing happens…I uploaded the header just fine…
    The theme I used was Independant Publisher…If you go to my blog you will see it in the header…I don’t want to share my site socially with that obvious incomplete white speckled spot above my name, BLESSING BLOCKERS…
    I truly appreciate any help…I am a dinosaur to computers….

    The image represents your gravatar: your Global Avatar, which is basically your profile picture that you only have to upload once and then it will show throughout all your WordPress.com related sites (for example, it will also show on this very page, next to your post).

    If you go to https://secure.gravatar.com/site/login, you should be able to log in with your WordPress.com account and upload a photo.

    Once you’ve done that, it will also show on your site, instead of the white circle with green dots (which is essentially a temporary placeholder).

    Thank you for your response and so quick!! WOW!! However, I did upload a picture which is on my “about me” section of my menu.
    It is there, but did not go onto my header of the front page…It does look like the image which came up next to my post above your post, senff.

    However, like I said my photo is uploaded and on my “about me” page…
    So, it didn’t automatically go to my heading page.

    I also actually don’t want it on my heading page…I would prefer a logo of the tree of life which I tried up upload, but to no avail.

    Any more suggestions?

    Indeed, the image you uploaded will only show on the About page, since you uploaded it in the page content.

    So, if you want that particular logo in that spot (in the header), go to https://secure.gravatar.com/site/login, log in with your WordPress.com account credentials, and upload your logo there.

    Do not upload it anywhere in a post or page in WordPress, that will only show it on the content of your site.

    Hi Senff…as you can see, I did what you told me to do and it uploaded to my gravatar, but not on that white circle on my header…So do I need to do something else in wordpress now that it’s uploaded?
