They took away my media space I rightfully paid for

I had purchased an extra 10GB of space maybe a year ago and nowhere in the plan did it say I had to pay $20 every year for it, it was a one time pay, so I bought it so I had more media space because that’s ALL I needed, nothing else. Now, WordPress recently just changed their plans and took away all of those extra options, including the one for an extra 10GB of space. Which, in turn, they took away the extra space that I PAID FOR and now they only give the options of Free, Premium, and Business plans and I don’t have the space anymore that I bought. I don’t want to upgrade at all to either of the other plans because I never wanted to spend that much money on my wordpress account, I ONLY wanted the 10GB of extra space. But, even though I rightfully paid for my extra space, it was taken away and now I feel as if I’m being forced to get that space BACK by upgrading to either Premium or Business and I DO NOT want to do that. All that I want is my space back that I paid for. Are their any admins out there that can talk to me about this and give me back the space that I paid for? I’m very, very upset by these changes and I feel as if WordPress has taken my money, then later, took back the 10GB of space and that is not acceptable.

Bumping my thread to also add that I haven’t been reimbursed for the $20 I had spent on the extra 10GB of space, either, even though that space has been taken away from me.

The space upgrade has always been a renewable upgrade, and in your case, it expired a couple months ago. This is indicated on our site and also the receipts we send out.

Even when such upgrades expire, we never delete your files. It’s just that you won’t be able to upload new media items, if you’ve run out of space.

At this time, the Premium plan is your best bet, if you only want extra space — and it also comes with some handy bonuses like your own domain name :)

Still a little upset about how I’m pretty much being forced into paying for a plan that I don’t want or need if I want to continue using my blog and inputting media. I wish the individual options were still available, but it is what it is, I guess.

Thank you for replying and answering me.

Thanks for the feedback. If it’s any consolation the Premium upgrade also comes with no ads. With the space upgrade only your site would have had advertising on it.
