things i didnt want

  I was working on a page, and when I went back to preview, all of these things are showing in the sidebar that I didnt put in. Random post, tag cloud, categories , blogroll, archives, and meta. I don’t remember hitting the wrong key, and when I go to widgets to remove them it’s as if they are not there in the side bar, but when I go to the page there they are. How do I get rid of this stuff?

  Place a single text widget at the top of the sidebar with not title and no contents.

  edit: “not title” was meant to be “no title”
  remove all other widgets ie. use an empty text widget at the top of the sidebar
