Things not working out
-
I have two pages, testimonials and personal stories. I would like people To leave testimonials, and leave their personal stories of the there trip. and I can’t seem to be able to figure out how to set this up.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What key to this is comprehending that static Pages http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ you create will never automatically update. Only dynamic Categories pages will automatically update. http://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/
There is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page. However, we can create the appearance that we have done that by setting up a custom menu and displaying Categories in tabs along the horizontal navigation menu.

So Are you saying I would make one for Testimonials and one for Personal Stories. and they would appear on my sidebar?
-
-
I notice when I make a custom menu. I don’t see the rest of my other menu tabs I made before.
-
I made a custom menu called Personal Stories and a category called Personal Stories. And I don’t see them in my side menu bar.
-
You didn’t read the post I gave you the link for yesterday, did you? Please stop creating new threads on the same issue; I think this is the fifth. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/accessibledestinations2014
What you need is a contact form so people can submit their stories. Then you make them blog posts and use the category Personal Stories or whatever. Then you use a Custom Menu to put the link to Personal Stories in your header.

@raincoaster
Thanks so much for the catch here. I’m sorry I missed the other threads. I’m not doing great right now.@accessibledestinations2014
I’m so sorry I fumbled the answer above. Please go to the thread raincoaster indicates. -

Everybody is ill right now. I’ve got a flu and it makes me even snarkier than usual.
Anyway, just follow the instructions. Know that it won’t display the way you want until you have some content; that’s just the way the web works. Make a couple of “dummy” stories, put them in the contact box, and then go to your email and copy them to your blog as posts. Then you’ll see how it works.
-
Ok I got it. I’m not finished but just wanted to know why there is text in the form already filled?

If this is about the autofilled information in a contact form or a comment box note that your information is visible to you when you are logged in and have not cleared your browser cache and cookies. No one else can see it.
When someone makes a comment on your blog or uses a contact form, unless they have cleared their cookies, WordPress.com will recognize them and complete the details for them. No one else will be able to view those details in comment boxes or in contact forms. The next person who comments will see blank fields. Commenters will not see each others details.
Also note that the Admin [edit] link is only for your convenience and the convenience of your Editors, if you have any. And only you and your editors can see it and use it while you are logged in to WordPress.com.
Log out, clear your browser cache and cookies and without logging in visit your blog to see that your details will not be there.
