Think I deleted Home menu – Help can’t see any posts!

    Hello all,

    Would really appreciate some help here.

    I’m new to WordPress blogs, and am currently using Coraline theme. I wanted to add some pages along the header – the home tab would be for my blog posts, then 3 extra tabs would be static pages (about me, cv, etc). However, in trying to get this going, I think I’ve deleted my default Home Menu – now, whenever I go to the correct entry url for my site (http://nicolebush.wordpress.com) I get this message: “Not Found – Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.” The there is a search box underneath this.

    I’ve searched the forums a bit for this problem – but whenever I read of someone who has had a similar problem, all the tips of help don’t work with my problem!

    So I made a new menu titled Home, hoping this would just replace the one I deleted. I then added 3 pages as tabs. The blog looked great, and I thought I was up and running. I made a few blog posts (one from web broser, one from WordPress phone app) and when I checked them today – they do not appear anywhere!

    So, I have invisible blog posts and apparently no page which hosts them, and the entry url of my site reads “Not Found”.

    Any ideas or suggestions?!? Even if I could just rest my entire blog and theme settings to default I’d be happy! Just don’t want to delete whole site as I want the same url.

    You deleted the first hello Post or whatever it is called – make a simple Post (not a Page) and the error will go away – Also see Pages vs/ Posts and use a Contact Form to get you email away from the Spambots `[contact-form]

    I did also delete the first Hello World post – but have since published two posts – one public, one private – and neither show up on any page of the whole blog – ?!

    At the moment, there are test posts visible on the front page at http://nicolebush.wordpress.com/ Clicking on any of the test post titles brings you to the full test post. Are we talking about something else?
