Think I have a corrupt script on a page- can’t edit it!
-
HELP! I put something on my homepage= maybe a hyperlink on a jpeg file- that is locking up the page and won’t let me edit it. IT locks up the internet explorer completely, or says “a script is causing this page delays” or something like that.
do i have to just delete the page and start over or is there something that can be done to fix it?
Thanks!!!Aphioni

You’re static front page has a ton of font stuff at the bottom of it. You need to go into that page, click on the HTML tab, find the pet network image code, and everything after that code needs to be deleted.
The W3C markup validator says you have 701 errors on the front page: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Faphioni.wordpress.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

wow! I had accidentally deleted a ton of stuff- guess it’s just hidden. i hope it will let me go the to html tab- i get locked up just hitting edt…. thanks!!!

Try turning off the visual editor and then editing it. Go to settings > writing. You can turn it on after you remove all the extraneous stuff.

I’m sorry, I sent you to the wrong place. Go to users > your profile and deselect it there.

You’re very welcome, and happy blogging. And don’t be hard on yourself. Stuff happens and virtually all of it can be fixed.
