Thinking about switching from an old Drupal sight with domain from GoDaddy to WordPress
-
This is our current site: http://www.ctwomensbasketballhalloffame.com/
Am thinking that I might lose the functionality of this page (http://www.ctwomensbasketballhalloffame.com/inductees) but I think we could live with that. We only add 7 inductees per year. we could maintain an alpha list, a list by year, and a list by category, easily. I’d like advise on how to handle the domain. And suggestions on templates. And of course, pricing.
Thank you!

Hi there!
I’d suggest that you start building your site with a free subdomain and only add your custom domain once you’re ready to launch your site.
You can either map it – your domain will stay with the current registrar and you’ll need to go to their site to manage anything domain related.
You can also transfer the domain to WordPress.com and we’ll be your new registrar. This way you’ll manage everything from one place and you’ll be able to reach support with any domain related-issues :)
Here you can find more information: https://wordpress.com/support/domain-mapping-vs-domain-transfer/
