Thinking about upgrading, question

  Once I upgrade, will folks who go to the old wordpress.com domain be automatically forwarded to the new domain? Also, will my older posts be accessible through the new domain automatically or will I have to repost them to make that happen?

  yes & Yes – the old links will always work and be redirected automatically to the custom domain name – you will actually have two addresses that work
