thinking of changing from wix to wordpress

    hello, I have a site I just recently started with wix – unitedgamblers.net – so not much content, but all html code i add to the site at wix of jackpot trackers etc is not showing on live and im getting tired of it. I am thinking of moving over to wordpress and dont mind upgrading but I would want the exact site design i have on wix to have on wordpress as well but wordpress is very confusing to me right now. I have tried but just cant figure out how to have the same design. Id there anyone on wordpress who can lend a helping hand with that basic design at least? I can just copy and paste the little content I have written but how do i get my design to wordpress?

    That is not possible on WordPress.com. Wix templates cannot be installed here, nor is it possible to create a custom template on WordPress.com. We also don’t allow sites where the main purpose is just to link to other sites.

    You might be able to create a custom template and upload it to a self-hosted WordPress installation, however. There you also won’t be bound by our terms of the types of content we allow. If you are not a web designer yourself you’ll need to hire one to create a WordPress template like the design you’re currently using on Wix, but you’ll be able to upload that to a self-hosted site.
