I am attempting to resolve the domain name expiration for domain name mjcogtheepistlesblog.org for the Mount Joy Church of God, Inc. This is my third attempt to get assist for this matter. The expiration date is May 31, 2016. The renewal was done in March 2016.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The domain mjcogtheepistlesblog.org is set to expire in 2 days. Please log into the dashboard to check your subscription and auto-renew status to assure that the domain doesn’t expire.

I am not seeing any record of a payment made in march. In fact, the account you are posting under is not actually the owner of the domain in question and does not have any upgrades associated with it.

Typically this happens because you ended up with a second WordPress.com user account at some point and THAT account is the one that was used to purchase the upgrade. You will need to log into that second account in order to renew the domain.

Please let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.

I have receipt to prove that the domain was renewed by our CFO through IDNS. Velda originally responded from WordPress and I sent her the receipt but she did not respond back to me. No this is not clear. We do have two domain names but the other is associated with mtjoychurchofgod.org and is on another webhosting site.

According to IDNS, an authorization code or EPP code is needed to complete the renewal. The CFO or myself never received an authorization code of EPP. This information would need to come from WordPress. Please assist.

According to IDNS, an authorization code or EPP code is needed to complete the renewal.

This is not correct. You only need an EPP code if you are trying to transfer registration of your domain to a new registrar. For example if you wanted to have your domain registered through GoDaddy rather than WordPress.com. But you do not need the EPP code to renew.

What you DO need to do, however, is log into the user account that owns the domain. You cannot renew the domain without doing so.

The account that owns the upgrade is one of the accounts listed here:

Ok this is still not resolving the problem. The CFO does have access to the site but renewed the domain name through IDNS in March 2016. If she logs into the site it will prompt her to pay for the domain again. This does not make sense. I login and it shows me that the domain name has expired and indicates renew now. If this was already paid for in March, why are we receiving this error?

    >through IDNS in March 2016

If a domain was renewed through https://idnsinc.com/, it was not mjcogtheepistlesblog.org. mjcogtheepistlesblog.org is registered through WordPress.com and cannot be renewed anywhere else.

The expiration message you are seeing is correct. The domain needs to be renewed. I do not know what the March payment to IDNS was, but I suspect their support team could help you figure that out.

It looks like you are communicating with my colleague via email as well. I would encourage you to read his email and reply to him with any questions you have.
