Third time was not the charm

I have tried three times to create a blog. I manage to get a picture in. Then when I try to post a blog or fill in the ‘introduce yourself’ section, the photo disappears. What am I doing wrong?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Perhaps it would help to make your Blog page your home page (that people see first when they visit your site). “Customizer” “Homepage settings”.

I want to have a static page plus a blog page. I click on add page in the customizer and I can’t see that anything happens
