This account is not in service but under my email address and I want to delete it

  I want to change the email address on the account I DO USE…..if I delete the inactive account I cannot access my other account for 30 days for changing the email address. Is there not some way that can be done easier!!!???

  Yes. You may do as follows:

  1. Change the account email address of the inactive account, , as described in the Update Email Address support page, to some unused email address. That will immediately free up the previous email address so that it may be used on another account.
  2. Update the email address of the active account to the email address freed in step 1.

  Do NOT close the unused account until you’ve completed steps 1 and 2 above. After you’ve successfully changed the account email addresses, then you may close the unused account as described in the Close My Account support page.
