This address is free or not?

    Hi!

    I would like to create a new site, but… My dream blog address includes my name: magdalena.wordpress.com . It’s very important to me. When I try create site and I am signing up using this address, I have a infromation that site is arleady exist :( but when you check this site: http://www.magdalena.wordpress.com you can see information “magdalena.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.” So maybe when there is no any site, is any way to create blog using address magdalena.wordpress.com ?

    Hi there. I’m afraid you won’t be able to register that address. If someone else had previously deleted it, it is now gone. Deleted blog addresses are not released for other people to register. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

    If it is really important to have your name as your URL your other option is to try and register a custom domain, e.g. magdalena.com or .org or whatever extension you want. Custom domains, however, are a paid upgrade. You can read more about how that works here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
