  I resolved this the second time it occurred by switching to code view and was able to recover my carefully wrought sentences. But the first time it occurred I lost the composing I had done on the ‘Quick Draft’ page, because once that error appears, your draft pretty much disappears from your interface. In that case I had to rewrite what I had just written.

  My question is: why is the ‘Quick Draft Page’ so fatally incompatible with the new Blocks?

  Thanks for your quick response: If this isn’t a common problem, then please close this. Since I have a workaround it’s not worth troubleshooting.

  @cdmcclellan a message with a block containing errors isn’t really that uncommon if you’re hand-editing code in the blocks — they aren’t super tolerant for syntax errors at this point.

  Usually, though, you can go back a revision, or view the page code to spot the error.

  Still, if you’re losing entire posts over this, please do send more details so we can try to prevent that.

  Hello, I have the same problem. On this page: https://martiendanielsvinyl.com/artists/blue-cheer-my-record-collection/ – after saving and opening again to edit all the blocks (groups) show the message unexpected or invalid content. I have not used hand-editing code.
  – when I open the code editor (to copy the code) and close it again – the problem is solved. but when saving- opening to edit the same problem occurs.

  Could you walk us through your process of adding those blocks? Were these individual blocks later added to a Group?

  Yes, they are individual blocks added to a Group.
  But I also run into this problem on the homepage now, and there is happens with a Cover block – no Group.
  Thanks for the tip for the chat. I will try that!
