'This block has encountered an error…' (Spacer block only)

  For the last couple days, each time I attempt to add a Spacer block to a post, I get the ‘This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.’ error.

  Every other block type seems to have worked as expected.

  And the exact same circumstance occurs on 2 different pc’s, so I’m inclined to think it’s something on my site rather than having the root cause on my equipment.

  And fwiw…, I’m using the free wordpress.com edition, so it’s not a plug-in conflict…at least not from a plug-in I’ve added.

  I’ve cleared the browser history on both pc’s and still the same.

  Help!

  I see we have reports of this issue from some other site owners as well, and our dev team is investigating. We don’t have a workaround for now so sit tight, and we’ll update you when we have more info.

  FWIW, I had never had such an issue until sometime mid(?) last week…if that helps anything.
