If there were copyright violations with stuff you had posted on the blog, then if you read the link husdal provided, there is little chance you will get the blog back, or even get access to it to pull your stuff off.

It depends on the nature of the violation. I’ve seen many blogs go down and never get returned.

lookinart, your violation is YOUR violation. Using other blogs for comparison doesn’t help. You have to contact staff about the specifics. I was only guessing, and even if other blogs offer music for download, it doesn’t mean that you can, too. wordpress.com takes copyright issues very seriously.

This is a violation. You will just have to wait for staff to get back to you. Ratting out other blogs will not help you; it just makes you look vindictive.

Even if it contains illegal materials? That would only subject your computer to seizure. And yes, the forces of law can find out if you downloaded the contents.
