This comment business

    What is the current position on this one? I have long standing blogfriends who want to comment on my blog and are being forced to use other email addresses in order to do so and I suspect many people are just not bothering to comment now who are non wp bloggers as it is such a mess. I am going in behind their comments and editing their names, urls etc in order for their comment names to link back to their blogs for them. I am sure this wasn’t WP’s intention but this is the outcome and it is a terrific waste of time. Is there a way for people who have got a dead or unused wordpress association with their email address to uncouple it from the wordpress system so that they can go back to using their regular name, email and own blog address to comment? Please can you let me know what the best way to proceed is… Many thanks for any help,
