    Getting error message – ‘This domain is already mapped to a wordpress.com site’
    I’m trying to use my custom domain for my WordPress account. I already did a transfer from my domain name provider(google domain) to WordPress.But, I’m having difficulties when I tried to add beakonhub.com again for an upgrade.

    It looks like you’ve canceled the domain name, meaning you no longer own it.

    Please let us know which of these options works best for you:

    Wait: You can wait about five days from cancellation for the domain to be released. So long as no one else buys it before you do, you can purchase it again with another provider.

    Repurchase the Domain: We can send an invoice and restore the domain. You’ll be able to point it to a new host as soon as it’s restored, then transfer the registration after 60 days.

    Repurchase a Plan: To host your site here after all, buy a plan, skip the domain option, then update us here.

    Hi,

    I’m still having issues with my WordPress account. I just made a payment to reclaim my domain (beakonhub.com) and still getting an error message “This domain is already mapped to a WordPress.com site”,
    Can you look at this pls?

    Hi there,

    Our logs show you completed the payment on Monday already, and someone replied to you the same day via email to let you know your domain is restored.

    So the domain is already back in your account and reconnected to your site. If you go to Upgrades ->Domains in your dashboard, you’ll see the domain listed there:

    https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/ritequality.wordpress.com

    If you don’t see it there, please check if clearing your browser cache makes any difference.

    Hi, thanks for your response,

    I can see it as active in my dashboard. I’m getting “This domain is already mapped to a WordPress.com site” when I tried to change the domain from ritequality to beakonhub.com from the setting.(add a custom address) section.

    I mine doing something wrong?

    The domain is already connected to your site, so you don’t need to add it again.

    If you want the custom domain to show instead of your free WordPress.com address, you can just set it as the primary address on your site:

    https://wordpress.com/support/domains/#set-a-primary-address

    After doing this, you might need to clear your browser cache before the site will show the domain in the browser address bar on your end.

    Let me know if you run into any trouble setting it to primary.

    Thanks for the help, it’s working now. The solution is just staring at me. I think I made a payment for a domain upgrade again which was a mistake on my side. can you look into it for me please. [redacted]

    That payment is for the Personal plan you just upgraded your site to.
