  Hello, I am trying to upgrade and use a domain name that I already own but I keep getting the message below. How can I resolve this issue please?

  Thanks for the link. That domain is currently mapped to a site here and owned by the username, blackfushion. If that’s you, you’ll first need to log in as that user and cancel the mapping upgrade.

  There is a two-week waiting period before another username can map a recently-cancelled domain, but in this case I’d be able to add the mapping for you manually once the current owner has cancelled it. I’ll just need you to confirm to which WordPress.com site you need the domain mapped.

  Thank you. I forgot about the blackfushion account. Anyway, how do I fix the following message that keeps coming up, please?

  blackfushion.com’s name server records should be configured

  I have the transfer code from wix. I would like to transfer and start using wordpress to post my blog. Thanks in advance for your help.

  Right. It’s not possible to transfer a domain to us from another registrar, so the only way to use the domain with a site here is to map it as you already have.

  For the mapping to work, the domain’s name servers or IP address needs to be pointed to us. That needs to be done at your domain provider. However, I don’t think Wix allows you to do that, so you’ll likely need to transfer the domain somewhere else, like Namecheap or GoDaddy, and then you can point it to us from there. Just make sure with Wix support first, though.

  Hello, I managed to successfully transfer my domain to Godaddy. So how do I point the domain name server to wordpress from godaddy, please?

  You will need to log in at GoDaddy to do this. You can find their instructions here:

  https://www.godaddy.com/help/set-custom-nameservers-for-domains-registered-with-godaddy-12317

  Then you need to add these name servers:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM

  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM

  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  The change will take a few hours to update, but then your domain should start showing your WordPress.com site.
