    I should be able to use my domain I bought for this site after I canceled my plan. It worked before, what’s up? It’s also paid trough the next year.

    When you cancelled your plan, your site reverted to the features of the Free Plan meaning you can’t set a custom domain as your primary address.

    A paid plan is needed to set a custom domain as your site’s primary domain. Without a paid plan, your domain will be redirected to your free WordPress.com site.

    You want to explain this to me then?

    It was linked to eclipticorrery.com was linked with no issues before I upgraded. But when I decided to cancel a plan I don’t need, I can no longer use it.

    I bought the domain in 2017 on a free plan, bought the domain for it’s use, and used it just fine. I only upgraded in the last 3 years, and now it suddenly needs me to upgrade.

    I call BS.

    We previously offered the custom primary domain feature as part of our Free plan. The domain registration itself does not include this feature. We were not able to continue offering this feature for free and now require a paid plan to enable it. Instead of forcing all existing free sites to upgrade, existing sites using a custom primary domain on the Free plan were grandfathered in. We offer paid services in order to cover our costs and continue to provide excellent managed hosting services, including free websites.
