“This domain is not transferable”
-
Well, I want to transfer it, which was the whole reason I dropped money on a WP plan to do so. Everything looks like it’s sorted out on the Google Domains end. Unlocked, privacy turned off, transfer code is generated, etc. But every single attempt to transfer this domain is giving me an error when I try to set it up with WP. I’ve contacted Squarespace for help since Google is absolutely useless. I do not want to point my domain at my WP blog, because it’s expiring in like two weeks and I’ll be fuming if I have to pay for another year of registration to a registrar I am trying to leave.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
What’s the domain name you’re trying to transfer? I don’t see one registered on your @cabbagesandstrings account. Please share the domain name so that we can look it up and investigate.
Thanks!

Google wasn’t letting me transfer out. I did complete the transfer but now the URL itself is busted and points to error messages. First, error messages from Google, now seemingly error messages from WordPress. Now transferring isn’t the issue but basic function *is*. I’m so frustrated by this process. It’s felt like nothing but roadblocks.
Marking as resolved, on the grounds that the transfer was completed after I finally hunted down Google Domains support.

Hi there – I see the domain transferred in on 4/20, right on. Thanks so much for your patience in this process. Transferring domains can be quite stressful.
And it looks like basic function is restored; the domain and site appear to be online and working for me and my teammates. Are you finding the same?
