    Why am I getting this message while installing a plugin,
    I am on a Business Plan on WordPress.com
    Theme is TwentyTwenty.
    I am trying to just install a plugin “Simple Code Block” and I get this message ? Will my URL address really change —————————————————-

    As explained by staff at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/install-plugin-22/#post-3410181 the wpcomstaging change happens when you upgrade to business plan.

    That’s only a temporary change. You’ll need to register or connect a domain to the account. The wpcomstaging change happens when you upgrade to business plan. There’s infrastructural changes that happen including the site address.

    Thank you, but i am not trying to upgrade to a business plan, I am already on a Business plan, i was just trying to add a plugin called “Simple Code Block” and got that message.
    Still confused.
    Unless this happens when anyone adds any plugin irrespective of the plan, then that would be really strange.

    Hi there,

    When you install a plugin, we have to make some changes in the background to ensure the site will still work correctly. Among those changes, the WordPress.com address gets replaced by a wpcomstaging.com address. This doesn’t matter, though, as you already have a custom domain, yottaconsulting.com, and that is what your site visitors will see when they view your site. This is simply a change we make in the background, and our system is just communicating this fact to you.
