‘This image has an empty alt attribute’

  I could insert an image on one of the pages without troubles just a week ago and now they just don’t show up anymore, all I’m getting is ‘this image has an empty alt attribute’ and the image doesn’t show up even after adding an alt attribute. My galleries are still broken and now this, very disappointing.

  What are the steps you follow to add an image to a post?

  Hi, sorry about the late reply, the email ended up in the spam folder somehow.

  My usual step on this page (https://heavenlysim.wordpress.com/family-tree/) is to replace the image through direct upload which always worked fine till now but it kept giving me empty alt attribute last Saturday. However, when I uploaded the image to the media gallery on Wednesday and then inserted into the page it actually worked fine.
