This is annoying. Your link goes to the wrong place – MAPPING DOMAINS

Your guidance for mapping existing domain says go to this link (https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domainhttps://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain).
Furthermore you provide a picture example of what the page looks like and then the link takes me to a listing of ‘word presses’ I already have – note I am trying to MAP AN EXISTING DOMAIN – and the option to create ANOTHER WORDPRESS!!!!
NO OTHER OPTIONS.
I’M TRYING TO MAP AN EXISTING – READ: EXTERNAL – DOMAIN.!!!…

Hi Thomas,
At this time we currently do not provide phone support but I’d be happy to help you out here in the forums. The correct link to the domain mapping guide is here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/This guide is used for adding a domain you purchased elsewhere to your WordPress.com site.
Here are the summarized steps:
1) Go to https://WordPress.com/domains and select the site you wish to add a domain to (if you have more than one site)
2) Click the “Map it” button next to “I already own a domain” at the bottom of the list
3) Pay the mapping fee and finish the checkout process
4) If you have any emails currently set up for the domain follow this guide to move the email records over (or check this was automatically done correctly) in your DNS settings: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/custom-dns/
5) Log in where you bought the domain and set the name servers to WordPress.com’s:NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
