This is going to be a stupid question BUT HELP

I am just trying to “sign in” to post a comment on another friend’s blog. I cannot sign in under my username for my blog for some reason and even went back to reset password to make sure I had it right. What on earth am I doing wrong. I don’t want to set up a new account just to post comments on my friends’ blogs – or do I have to?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Is you friend’s blog on WordPress.com as well? If it is, then you can use your WordPress.com account to comment there (hairsonfire7).
But if you’re having a trouble, it could be be cause your friend does not use WordPress.com.

Yes, amazingly so her blog is also on wordpress. For some reason it will not allow me to sign in. Perhaps – well you said I could use my account to comment on theirs? Is there a special way to do that? I know this is banal but I honestly am having a hard time navigating this system. Everytime I press another button there is a term I have never heard before…

I guess better worded – can I go some how from my account directly to hers to comment. When reading hers it said I had to be signed in to comment. I WAS signed in already, so I tried to again. No dice.

In my experience, if you already have logged in to your WordPress.com blog, and then you go to someone else’s blog that’s also in WordPress.com, you will already be logged in in the comment area.
If it’s not a private matter, can I know the URL of your friend’s site so I can test?
