This is not what I wanted

    I’m not sure what I signed up for. I was charged around $40. I don’t recognize ‘soundandscreen’. I want to set up a blog called ‘dearest widow’ – but don’t want sound and screen. I’m really confused and it trying to figure this all out has been a major waste of my time. I just need some help, very straightforward and easy to follow. Thanks you.

    It looks like you are accessing a WordPress.com site you created many years ago. The address you want already shows in browers. You just need to change the displayed title of the blog at Settings/General. Choosing a newer theme might be a good idea too.

    The account you’re using to post here owns two sites:

    https://dearestwidow.wordpress.com/, created in 2012, on the same day you created this username account (and currently showing the site title as “soundandscreen” – you can change that as @themagicrobot explained above)

    https://soundandscreen.wordpress.com/, created a month ago.

    To switch from one site to the other, click on My Sites, and click the Switch Site option you’ll see there.

    Both of these sites are on our free plan, and you’ve never bought any paid upgrade from us using this WordPress.com account. You can see your billing history for this account here:

    I’m not sure what you were charged $40 for, but it wasn’t for any site in this account, nor on WordPress.com for that matter, as we don’t sell any upgrade that costs that amount.
