    A new post can be created from My Site > Site > Posts > Add a New Post:

    Create a Post

    Or by clicking on the Write button at the very top of your browser.

    Just to add to what @gemmacevans was saying (hope you don’t mind Gemma!)

    jmbraverman, I’m wondering if you’re finding that you’re missing the old Classic Editor? The new Block Editor was introduced last year so if it’s a while since you were posting last you might not have been aware of this change.

    But fear not, you can switch back to the Classic Editor, if you have a look at the FAQ here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/#frequently-asked-questions open the FAQ titled: “Will I still be able to use the old editor?” and that will tell you how to.

    It might be a good idea to have a read through the whole guide and then create a test post to try and get familiar with the new block editor, it is really powerful and has loads different blocks for formatting and layouts, and lots more. I was skeptical of the block editor when it was first introduced but now I find it a really easy way to add content to posts.
