THIS IS URGENT, PLEASE HELP! (Unlinking my wordpress account from a site)
-
(Please excuse my poor english) How do I unlink my wordpress account from my website/domain if I have access to them both? I don’t want this account to have any control over the this particular site/domain that I’m talking about. It is the one that is set as the ‘primary site’ in my ‘Account Settings’ page. I want to remove any relation/unlink it from this wordpress account that I’m using. How do I do that? I did not find any options to deassociate my wordpress account from the site/domain. PLEASE HELP

Hi there!
Can you let us know what the URL is of the site and more specifically what you’re trying to accomplish? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.
Thank you!

Hi, this is the url:
http://programaridr.nexloc.com/So basically, what I’m trying to do is make it so if I were to, for example, delete the wordpress.com user associated with that site (so to be clear, not the admin user that you would create after installing wordpress on your site )

It is set as the primary site for this account that I’m using right now to chat on this forums. But I don’t want this site (the one mentioned earlier) to be associated with this wordpress account. The thing is, if I try to delete my wordpress account from “Account Settings” it says that it will delete my site and all content on it permanently. This is bad. So if something were to happen to this wordpress account that I’m using it will also affect my site. I don’t want that. What should I do? I do have the cpanel credentials/information for the server where the site is hosted. I also have the login information for the admin user I’ve created after I installed wordpress for my site. But I really don’t know what I should do to solve this issue, I’ve never been in such a situation before. Please help!

It seems I cannot edit posts, so I’ll fix what I said earlier :
“So basically, what I’m trying to do is make it so if I were to, for example, delete the wordpress.com user associated with that site (so to be clear, not the admin user that you would create after installing wordpress on your site )” the site won’t be affected at all. This is what I originally wanted to say in my reply to you, sorry. I thought I could edit posts but I guess not.

The thing is, if I try to delete my wordpress account from “Account Settings” it says that it will delete my site and all content on it permanently.
That’s only if your site is hosted here at WordPress.com. Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com but instead a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.
I did try to load your site URL, but that does not load for me, so you should reach out to your current hosting provider to make sure things are OK there.
What you see on your account here is a snapshot of your website through the Jetpack plugin. It allows you to manage your site from WordPress.com and also use the features in Jetpack that require a connection to our servers. Jetpack nor WordPress.com host your site, so you can delete your account here without affecting your site. Just note that those features in Jetpack (if you’re using them) that require a connection may cease to function properly unless you connect to a different WordPress.com account
If you have access to the wp-admin area of the site and are the connected local user account, go to Jetpack -> Dashboard in your site’s dashboard. Then, scroll down to find the Connections area. Click the “Manage site connection” link as shown here: https://d.pr/i/mn434t
Then, click the red “Disconnect” button as shown here: https://d.pr/i/go6dCt
If you still have trouble disconnecting your site, you’ll need to reach out to Jetpack Support for help.
I hope that helps!
