  This morning all sorts of words in my blog post text have been changed to links to various advertising (Including this page). Also pop-ups come up and cannot be clicked away. This page (your support page) is filled with ads for dating Brazilian and asian girls. What the is goin on. I have been transferred without clicking anything to an advertising page which I cannot close. Please contact me (email visible only to moderators and staff) or call 214 558 6260

  Hi!

  It sounds like your browser might be affected by malware. I’m not seeing any of those ads when I visit our support documents or your site. Can you try another browser by chance (like Firefox)? Here’s an example of what I see:

  Thank you. I tried Firefox and also on an iPad and no problem. I was using Chrome when the problem occurred. After I wrote the problem just stopped. Maybe Kaspersky caught it. Thanks again.

  Whoops. The problem is back this morning. The problem shows up on two computers (in both Firefox and Chrome) and my iPad. But only on my WordPress dashboard and blog. The links on the iPad anyway are not active.
  I’m getting messages to call a number (844-335-0524) to get the problem fixed, but how do I know they are not the folks who caused the problem?

  Note the COMPUTERS thing that showed up above. That’s what’s happening. I did not put that there.
  Also a full C drive scan with Kaspersky do not find the problem. There is nothing blue or underline in this message.

  I think I fixed it. Used Chrome’s “software removal tool” https://www.google.com/chrome/srt/
  Strangely, it would no download thru Chrome; so I used Firefox.

  Hi @linmc2,

  Are you still having this issue? I believe this is indeed a problem with malware on your computer or browser somewhere as these images are not appearing on my side. I would not recommend calling that number if it’s popping up in one of the ads.

  Yes. I finally fixed it this afternoon with a program called software_removal_tool from Chrome. That seemed to do it. Of course I had to download it with Firefox – go figure. Anyway, thanks again.
