This post in category would not show
-
The following post (appended at the end) when not categorized would show. But when it was assigned to a category, it would throw the following error:
This webpage is not available
The connection to xyz.org was interrupted.If I involved xyz.org/index.php?p=<post_id>
it showed the same problem above.
I checked all the links on the page. They all worked individually. There was nothing else besides the links.
Since I could not access the apache log, I would not be able to tell the problem.
Can you tell me what could be the problem and how to fix it?
I am running my blog site in wordpress.com domain. Thanks,
Acyk

The site is http://www.blueskylearningcenter.org
The post is Picture_Gallery_20110930 (post_id = 345).When it was assigned to category Post_Picture_Gallery (cat = 64216795), clicked on category Post_Picture_Gallery (url: http://www.blueskylearningcenter.org/category/post_picture_gallery/) would throw error (error in original email, the post was the only one in the category).
When it was assigned to uncategorized, clicked on uncategorized (url: http://www.blueskylearningcenter.org/category/uncategorized/) would show the post and content (the post was the only one uncategorized).
Please let me know what the problem was. Why did the post not work in the category (post_picture_gallery)?
I would really appreciate your help. Thanks,
Acyk

According to a W3C validation report, that post has a good number of HTML issues that need to be addressed.
Go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then click “save changes.”
Open that post in the editor, switch from the visual tab to the HTML tab (waiting for the page to refresh) and then switch back to the visual tag (again waiting for it to refresh), and then click “update post.” That should take care of the invalid nested tags and such and straighten things up.

I followed exactly what thesacredpath said. I even copied the whole codes to W5C for validation. I fixed the errors it found (see codes below) and re-run the post. I had the post assigned to both category post_picture_gallery and uncategorized (only one post in both categories). I had the same result (failed on post_picture_gallery but showed on uncategorized) It did not fix the problem.
Can anyone explain why it failed on post_picture_gallery but not on uncategorized?
Can you suggest how to fix the problem? Thanks,
Acyk

Can someone from WordPress answer this email? Since this forum is called “support”, I would have thought that WordPress technical support would watch this forum and answer email as often as possible. If not, I would suggest you to change the title of this forum. What’s a joke!!!!

@troop103fremont
This appears to be the first time you have posted into this thread. Exactly what is it that you need help with please? -
I am trying to get WordPress support to answer my problem “this post in category would not show”. I have multiple accounts. Apparently, the forum picked up the cookie of my other account instead of “bluesky369”. Do you know anything about this problem?

This is a peer support forum where Volunteers ie. fellow bloggers answer questions. I don’t have time to answer any more questions tonight – I’m off to bed.
If you wish to get Staff support then you can use this link > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.
