This Post is For Subscribers

I’ve been away from my blog for awhile, apparently there is a change causing an issue now. I published a post and my subscribers and nonsuibscribers are getting this message. You also cannot subscribe when you click the button. I have checked settings to be sure they are “everyone” and “public”. What am I missing?

Thanks for getting in touch :) when you mention that your subscribers and non-subscribers are getting a message, what’s the message that they’re receiving exactly?
If you can go ahead and copy the message text here, that would be really helpful – we can take a closer look from there.

This Post is For Subscribers – that was the message, with a button to subscribe that didn’t work. I may have figured it out – I was running an outdated theme and once I updated to a newer theme, it seemed to have corrected it self. If you could take a look and ensure it is working properly now I would appreciate it!

@dmcc713 could you send a link to an affected post? I tried finding that on your site but didn’t see anything recent.
Also, these forums are for the sites hosted and managed here at WordPress.com, vs. sites using WordPress code with another host. If you’re not sure about your site, send a link, and we can point you in the right direction.
If it is definitely hosted somewhere else, you might want to look at your plugins first to see if any of them seem related, then try searching and posting in the forums for the free WordPress software if you need more help: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
