“This post is super-awesome” – what’s that?

While creating a post, I see a check-mark option saying “This post is super-awesome”. I guess it’s something to do with ‘Surprise Me’. I have tried it on three occasions but noticed nothing. Any answers?

Wonder if it has something to do with getting on the Freshly Pressed page or something? -
I had that box too, but it only appeared after i checked the “Surprise Me” (Fun mode) box. I am now waiting to see what else happens!!

I have the box too, but don’t see any effect when I check it. It happened after I checked “surprise me” too, but not I’ve unchecked “surprise me” and it’s still there so not necessarily connected…

It’s definitely connected…i just unchecked the fun box and the “Super Awesome” box has now gone.

It appeared a few days ago along with “surprise” and “humanize”. I have never clicked it.

What would be super awesome is BuddPress so we can become a social network … just saying ;)

the “humanize” button simply gives a (meaningless?) random fact about the number of hits your blog has received that day. i hit it expecting … something cool, but that was it. the fact is usually somehow related to a mathematical conjecture or theorem, but once for the number 20, i got a little blurb about sports jerseys.
i would like to know what the “super-awesome” button is all about though.

Does anyone know to what part of the ‘suprise me’-function the suddenly popping up videos are related? Because I’m happy to never see those again as is my old laptop who can’t really handle stuff like that. On the other side, I like the humanize option so if possible I’d like to only turn off the vids.

I haven’t experienced the videos and do not want to. I don’t get off on experiencing unexpected features features that are on by default. By unchecking the ___ Fun “surprise me” feature which was on by default I got rid of it all. See here >

@timethief. Same here. Surprises are nice but not when they f*ck up my workflow. I was hoping their made me a way to only get rid of the vids but yes. I guess, I’ll turn it all off. Rather that than the video thingie and whatelse might pop up. Thanks for your as usual prompt help!
