Hi there,
Can you explain a bit more about “when people go to my gavatar”? I’m happy to help troubleshoot more once I know how you’re receiving the “site is unsecure” message!
-
Sure, when the click on my gavatar pic from the comments I might make on another site I the get the unsecure message.

Oops let me restate that again, when I click on my gavatar pic from the comments on another site I get the unsecure message.

Hi!
This is happening because the link to your site is an https link, which will not work with domains mapped to WordPress.com. To fix this, please navigate to the following link while logged in:
https://wordpress.com/settings/account/
Then, under “Web Address”, change the address to the following:

Unfortunately, that didn’t work the lady who’s site I make comments on still gets the message. Is there anything else I can do to fix the problem?

Hi there,
Changing the setting will not revert the link in previous comments (so you will still receive the error message). However, you shouldn’t receive the warning message on new comments. If you’re still seeing the message, could you point me to a comment you’ve made since making the switch so I can take a look?

Hi, so I had the info wrong again, the problem happens when my blog friends clicks on my user name in the comments, or anywhere else my user name is, and not on the gavatar pic. I misunderstood her.

Hi there,
That’s controlled by the same setting. So, provided you’ve removed the HTTPS prefix from your settings page, that should be fixed going forward. Again, previous comments will not be changed. However, it shouldn’t happen again moving forward!
Let me know if you experience the issue with future comments!
