I’ve had this happen to me as well and I waited and a few hours later I tried again and was successful. How long ago did this happen?

Hello again,
We Volunteers can’t view “previews” but Staff can and I will flag this thread for their attention. -

Do you have JavaScript enabled?

This is a sudden new change, since I have become part of the new WordAds program. I have ALWAYS been able to enter a ‘caption’ to my photos in my ‘gallery’ and these captions would appear in my slideshows and galleries within my post. NOW, when I try to enter a ‘caption’ in my gallery for that post, it says ‘Default Caption’, instead of ‘Caption’, and when I type my photo credits in that field, the entire slideshow disappears from the post and a message appears telling me I must have Javascript to view the slideshow! This has NEVER occurred before.
What has happened? It is VERY important that I fully credit my photos, as I am a dance jourmalist and our rules are VERY strict about giving full dancer, ballet, and photographer credits. I use photo slideshows and galleries in every single post, so this must be addressed asap.
In previous posts, there seems to be no problem.
Thank you!

Thank you? When one has never used ‘Support’ before, it is easy for one to fear one has posted on the wrong thread and then to try to repost it on a more relevant one. I’m sure other 1st timers have done the same. It was not meant to “waste” your time. A more sympathetic admonishment would be appreciated by newcomers to this forum.

yes JavaScript is enabled also two of the slide shows open properly and 2 gives the same warning and never opens the slideshow

My old slideshows are working fine; obviously this is something new that we don’t have any control over. There’s nothing you can do to fix it because you haven’t done anything wrong.
For now, I recommend using a Flickr slideshow instead. It means you have to have a Flickr account and upload the images there instead of here, but it will work.

I have flickr but this was supposed to be my website without dealing with hosting domain and so on problems and I was doing web pages that will show my faceted gemstones , hope I do not have to do these pages again as did them over 15v times and no luck untill now which ruined my over 15 hours.

Just upload the photos to Flickr as a set and then use the slideshow URL to embed the Flickr slideshow.

I thought I solved the issue , what I did was delete them(pictures) all and upload again one by one it seemed it worked until I did changes at the descriptions of the photos also editing from media library did not help caused the same problem, any update or any new picture upload resulted the same trouble Is there any one who can solve this bug or what so ever
